What we collect
When you request a quote or get in touch we collect the details you provide: typically your name, email, phone number, vehicle or premises details and the scope of your project. To protect our enquiry form from spam we also process your IP address when you submit it. We do not collect special-category data.
How we use it
We use your details solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and deliver the signage or vehicle-graphics work you ask us to. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and taking steps to enter into a contract with you.
Website statistics
We keep basic, cookieless statistics about how this website is used: pages viewed, approximate location (town or region), device and browser type, and how you arrived (for example a search engine or a link). Visits are grouped using a one-way scrambled code that changes every 30 days, so we cannot identify you from it, and we do not store your IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our website.
When you send an enquiry we also note how you first found the site (for example a Google search or an advert), so we know which marketing works. This is held in your browser only for the current visit.
Google Analytics (only with your consent)
If you choose Accept all in our cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location and your device type. It does not store your IP address. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you choose Essential only, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) processes this data on our behalf. Some of it may be transferred to the United States, protected by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Google's standard contractual clauses. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, and we keep Google Analytics data for 14 months. See how Google uses data.
Sharing
We never sell your data. We share it only with the suppliers we need to deliver your project (for example material and installation partners), with the services that run this website on our behalf (WrapSnap, which hosts the site and receives your enquiry; Resend, which delivers enquiry emails; Cloudflare Turnstile, which blocks spam; and Google Analytics, if you consent), and where required by law.
Retention
We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete them. Detailed website statistics are deleted after 90 days; only daily totals are kept after that.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to our use of it, at any time: email office@vsignsuk.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
